Russian Fashion Week (RFW) - #1 fashion event in Russia as well as in the Eastern Europe. The past four seasons have established it as a regular entry in the world fashion calendar next to national fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, London, NY. Russian Fashion Week which is held in Moscow twice per year, in April and October, covers all of the former Soviet Union, the so-called Russian-speaking territory. The RFW basics are Russian designers, but every season sees the best designers from former Soviet republics: Ukraine, Byelorussia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Georgia, etc. Every season, the RFW Organizing Committee studies over 100 entries but chooses only the best collections for the RFW runways. Russian Fashion Week is run and supervised by Artefact Communications Agency, which is the leading Russian PR-agency, with the best-organized fashion, luxury and design PR. The Artefact CEO is Alexander Shumsky, who is also the Producer General of Russian Fashion Week and one of the most important and influential figures in Russian Fashion. Russian Fashion Week has always cooperated with international designers. In Spring\Summer 2005 season the British Day auspicated the International Day in the frames of RFW, which brought international collaboration to a different level and made it unique. In the frames of the British Day RFW hosted such designers as Jenny Packham, Antoni&Alison, Sophia Kokosalaki and etc. In the frames of the next season the Spanish day presented such Spanish designers as: Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Armand Basi, Devota&Lomba and others. During the past season Russian Fashion Week hosted an Italian day which was organized in cooperation with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. Such famous brands as La Perla, EXTE', Romeo Gigli, Guerriero, Pollini by Rifat Ozbek presented their summer 2006 collections on the RFW catwalks. The next first on the agenda is an American day, also French and other International days as well. Consequently, Russian Fashion Week gives foreign designers a unique opportunity to present their brands to the Russian trade market.
Russian Fashion Week is proud to have partnership with fashion weeks in Italy, China, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Greece, Croatia, India, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, Malaysia.
