BLISS Collection was inspired by what partners Lisa McLean and Kelley Farish saw as a clear void in children's fashion: traditional and beautifully made clothing that kids want to wear. The family and friends that McLean had living in Peru was the first stepping-stone to starting the company. By visiting the workshops and artisans throughout Lima, McLean knew they could develop a niche in the clothing market that did not yet exist. The collection that followed was completely unique. Handmade sweaters were adorned with beautifully crocheted designs that not only captured the mischief and innocence of childhood, but maintained the traditional quality that mothers crave.

BLISS Collection was first introduced at the Atlanta Apparel Mart in August of 1999, and the label fast became known throughout the Southeast for its originality and exceptional quality. Before long, our designs were expanded to include a complete Nursery Collection so that even the tiniest baby could be wrapped in the special style and feel of BLISS!

In the Spring of 2002, we introduced our first complete line of separates and adopted the new label "Bella BLISS". By selecting only the finest cotton fabrics, we have created a collection of classic patterns with clean lines and subtle details. Like our sweaters, our separates reflect traditional style, but remain crisp and fashioned. They can be worn alone or coordinated with the expansive collection of knits, which now includes everything from cardigans and sleeveless shells to hats and purses.
