ABOUT
Sandra Backlund was born in Stockholm in 1975. She studied textile handicraft, art history, and the history of ideas at Swedens Umea University and the Umea School of Design between 1994 and 1999. She founded her epynomous knitwear label in 2004 upon graduation from the Beckmans School of Design (which she attended from 2001-4004). In 2006 she collaborated with Louis Vuitton on a special knit-wear line for their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. Backlund won first place at the prestigious Hyeres International Festival of Fashion and Photography this year for her In Blot Test collection.
