Texas born designer, Julie Haus-Alkire, began studying pattern construction and sewing at the age of thirteen under her grandmother, a 1950's dressmaker. From a young age she developed a polished sense of style that fused pretty, fanciful fabrications with vintage-inspired details.
Working as an editor in the fashion industry, Haus became restless, eager to fulfill her childhood aspirations of becoming a professional fashion designer. Haus' goal was to create a ready-to-wear clothing line for women who shared her appreciation for vintage fabrications and intricate tailoring. Haus' designs quickly became known for their immaculate craftwork and impeccable fit.
Her labels currently carried in over 200 specialty stores around the world including Barney's New York. Already a favorite among Hollywood A-listers, it won't be long before Haus' influence extends from the red carpet to the runway.
