ABSTRACT Low rise jeans are a big hit in Japan. According to a recent survey on jeans by an industry newspaper, over 40% of female consumers responded they have low rise jeans in their wardrobe. Interestingly, this trend has dramatically increased the sale of women's low rise panties, an unforeseen by-product of the necessity to hide underwear when wearing the newest jeans. Polo shirts are expected to sell well with jeans this year. Belts: Thick, decorative belts with rhinestones, studs, etc. are popular among women.
