1940 Style ad Art in full Color

Continue ...In the all over area we are sensing that organic repeats that are clean and layered are newest while bright geometrics with 100% coverage are another 80's idea that is die for a comeback. In the display area, more bases and ideas are played with. Madala art, mixes of photorealism and doodles as well as Innuit art are the newest looks. For more information about the show visit: www.breadandbutter.com

At the Bread & Butter show in Berlin there are always tons of screens and art styles to talk about but we wanted to focus your attention on what we felt were the most cutting edge styles on the show floor in the July '05 show. .

For ladies tee art, we saw that girls with various attitudes and ethnicities are still very key going forward. Russian, Japanese (anime) and retro rag doll looks were newest for the renderings. We also saw mixes of embroidery and screening as well as jumbo appliques that made the rag doll art look even more raggish. One color doodles and one color 'clip art' with neon splashes are also interesting and easy to do. Finally, any reference to the Victorian era is key and you can expect cabbage roses to be hot going forward!

For men's tee art, we found that foil, neon pops of color and studs were key as was the concept of adding base interest to tees prior to screening. Photorealism is new (and oh so 80's) as is screening over laundered neon rugby stripes.
