The style Council outlook for Women's Fall / Winter 2007 includes four main themes: Leading ladies, From Russia with Love, Miss Utility and Dark Angel.

Leading Ladies

- Starlet Glamour
- Masculine Tailoring
- Tweeds, Checks
- Tie Prints/Stripes
- Feminine Embroidery/Beading
- Mini Wovens/Geos

Take center stage with the masculine/feminine grace and style of Kathryn Hepburn or Hitchcock's leading ladies. Use ribbon embroidery and beading for feminine sophistication and pair with mannish tailoring in classic flannels and checks. Traditional tie stripes and crests are reminiscent of old school days, contrast with tweeds and mini wovens in pretty pinks and plums. Prints range from painterly florals to 30's inspired geos and linear all overs.

Colors: A vintage palette of tea rose, antique blue, peony, pale plum and cinnamon. Sharpen up with charcoal grey and chalk.

From Russia with Love

- Folk Inspired Print/Embroidery
- Russian Reference
- Hand Crafted Feel
- Pinks and Rosy Hues
- Fairisle and crochet
- Decorative Borders

Cross the Siberian Steppes in cozy layers; rich-hued and intensely patterned. Peasant styles are fringed or trimmed with crochet and pom-poms. Decorative border embroideries sit well on earthy herringbones and boiled wools. Folk inspired motifs and traditional embroidery techniques (cross-stitch, eyelet, blanket stitch) are reminiscent of the past but should still feel fresh and pretty. Rosy tones work well for printed florals and paisleys or embroidered knits. Look to historic Russia and Mongolia for authentic reference and embellish your imagination!

Colors: A luscious combination of eggplant, berry, spice and evergreen with vibrant tones of magenta and yellow.

Miss Utility

- Military Detailing
- Aviator Style
- Khaki Grounds
- Frogging / Russian Braiding
- Embroidery and Embellishment
- Pretty Pinks

Military makes a return, through subtle detailing and lavish embroidery. Use pockets, piping and studs, epaulets and soutache techniques. Soften the military feel with dusky, floral prints and feminine embellishment. Metallic trim, beading or sequins add a glamorous twist to utilitarian chic, allowing for pretty practicality. Take inspiration from both army and aviator looks without being overtly literal.

Colors: Practical classics Ð khaki, black, slate and stone softened with dusky rose and vintage magenta.

Dark Angel

- Midnight Shades
- Metallic Foil Prints
- Blurred, Ombre Techniques
- Asian-Style Florals
- Dramatic Placements
- Feather-Like Iridescence

Strut your way into the midnight hour, bathed in nocturnal light. Shades of blue/black, ink and plum make perfect grounds for dramatic, metallic foil prints. Alternatively opt for clean and monochromatic, blurred and ombred or asian-style prints. Find a glimmer of light on be-jeweled surfaces, enhance with subtle, iridescent sheen. Delicate lace and tonal embroidery create depth and texture.

Colors: An intense palette of saturated night-time hues; ink, midnight, plum and deep teal, add a shot in the dark with pewter and hot pink.

Insight. Innovation. Authority. In 1982, TSC's founders harnessed more than 10 years of industry insight working for the top designers in New York and Paris, and an intimate knowledge of Asia, to realize their vision-a superior one-stop studio that combined the manufacturing, design, and merchandising processes under one roof. Armed with an intimate understanding of their clients needs, TSC hired the best creative and tech design team in the industry and an innovative new studio was born. Next, TSC enlisted a seasoned sales team with first hand knowledge of the industry, as well as relationships with the top retailers, designers, merchandisers and manufactures here and abroad. And while TSC's objective never changed, our clients' challenges of competing in a global market did. To meet those needs, TSC invested in the smartest technologies and expanded its basic concept to include a total design facility, capable of taking projects from concept to completion. With a focus on employee stability and an ability to move steps ahead of the trends, TSC is now the country's leading design and service studio. What we design and how it is manufactured today is different from what we made last season, last year, twenty years ago. But the essence of TSC hasn't changed; we continue to be creatively driven and technically innovative, with a fashion forward insight on knowing what our customers need.
