Online shopping has transformed the fashion industry, but why is it so popular?
Well, it appeals to a broad range of consumers and is broad enough to cater to most needs and tastes, in particular the online children retailer's are immensely convient for busy mom's who have little time on their hands.

With a few clicks of a mouse one more chore is complete, the ease and efficiently of the internet is perhaps one of the reasons why "Internet home shopping has expanded at a current dollar rate of over 22% a year, for the past four years"according to a 2005 Mintel report on Home Shopping. The statistics mirror today's society where ever-increasing schedules and those hectic lifestyles leave little time for everyday jobs, it is therefore no surprise people are continually choosing to embrace one of the Internet best services, and further more the forecast for online shopping is set to only increase!

The current children's scene is replicated online; children's boutiques are frequently popping up offering beautiful, high quality apparel to meet the needs of the "new"target mom. The choice to put her career first and then have a baby later in life has enabled a more financially secure lifestyle, and now she can reap the rewards splurging on luxury items that will show-off not only her baby as the best dressed kid on the block, but also reflect her personal style.

Brick and Mortar stores are now left not only competing with one another but with the further competition of online retailers as they continue to take a firm grip on the market share. "Home-shopping sales are expected to increase at a rate significantly higher than retail sales at actual brick and mortar stores" according to a 2005 Mintel report on Home Shopping. And so as technology continues to evolve the future looks very prosperous online!
