BIOGRAPHY JEAN PAUL GAULTIER, date of creation: 1976 1952 April 24th Birth of the "ENFANT TERRIBLE OF THE FRENCH FASHION WORLD". 1970 Joined Pierre Cardin. 1971 A spell with Jacques Esterel, then joined Jean Patou where he stayed for two years as assistant Michael Gomez, then to Angelo Tarlazzi. 1974 - 1975 Returned to Pierre Cardin, but this time in Manila where he created collections intended for the U.S.A.
