The following biography contains information on Fashion editor Maude Bass-Krueger. BIOGRAPHY
Maude Bass-Krueger, Women's Apparel Editor at Infomat, developed her esprit critique living and studying in Paris as a teenager. During her undergraduate studies, she curated Wesleyan University's vast costume shop as well as designed and consulted for theater and film. Her travels through Western Europe and China have sparked an interest in the relationship between fashion and social conditions, allowing her to examine critically the alliance between fashion and power from the Mongols to perestroika.
Maude's influences are culled from a variety of literary and aesthetic sources, including: Diana Vreeland, Yves Klein, Wong Kar-Wai, Seijun Suzuki, Dostoevsky and New York rock. A summer internship at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum might lead to a Ph.D in fashion history, but until then Maude is content studying European Political History at Sciences Po Paris and exploring the Parisian underground.
